Northwood in a Willamette Motherboard
I currently have a socket 478 mother board with a 1.7ghz Willamette P4 installed. I bought this board back in about December, before the Nothwood. If I bought a Northwood, Would it work in this motherboard? Or will I need to upgrade the board as well? I checked the manufactures site, http://www.azza.com.tw/Layout.asp?Page=Products&K=93 (SLOW server) and it doesn't say. Sockey 478 should be Socket 478 no matter what right? I remeber when Intel and AMD CPUs were swapable so long as it fit, is this the same case?
