Floppy Drive / NewEgg Questions..

Okay -
I just got a new floppy drive. When I plug it all in - nothing happens. The LED light does not go on. I am plugging it in the correct way. I tried two different power plugs. I tried a different floppy drive and that lit up. So - is there anything else I havent done? I believe the FD is crap...

Second, I have yet to place an order with Newegg in which the device that is shipped the first time, actually works. Do you guys really like this place? I ordered a CDRom Drive from them and it was dead. So - then I have to bear the shipping costs to send it back to them. Now, I believe my floppy to be dead, so once again, I have to pay more cash to send it back to them. Is there a good company out there to buy crap from?

I've ordered 64MB Smartmedia from Newegg, and haven't had any problems. I don't think I've ordered anything mechanical from them. I can't really remember everywhere I've purchased, because I've got many machines and a lot of peripherals.

Most likely FD is dead.

I've ordered a videocard, motherboards, hard drive and more from Newegg with no problem.

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.
