1st)For all you 3dmark junkies they finished their benchmarking program at: http://www.glexcess.com/ 2nd)Cut and pasted this since a lot of us play j2. *Star Wars Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast is a newly released OpenGL game that many have been anticipating. It has much improved graphics over its predecessor. It fully supports advanced shaders as well as very high texture resolution and effects. There is one demo included in the multi-player section that is good for benchmarking use. In order to enable the benchmarking mode however you have to make a shortcut to the jk2mp.exe program located in the GameData folder of Jedi Knight 2. You have to put this switch at the end of the line in the Target Area: +set sv_cheats1 So it will look like this: C:\Star Wars JK II Jedi Outcast\GameData\jk2mp.exe" +set sv_cheats 1 When you launch that Icon and open up the console with the combination of Shift + ~ you will bring down the console menu. Then just like in Quake3, type "Timedemo 1" to enable timedemo mode. Now go set your settings under Setup/Video. In our tests I used the settings of: Color Depth: 32bit, Full Screen: On, Geometric Detail: High, Texture Detail: Very High, Texture Quality: 32bit, Texture Filter: Trilinear, Detailed Shaders: On.* I haven't tried it myself but when I have time I'll let you know what I think of benchmarking using the force. -jel |
