I just set up a wireless lan in my house. Found an AP for $69 and ordered for my laptop the cheapest PCCard I could find which was a USR 2410 for $39.99 after rebate.
I then went to the USR web site to download the latest drivers with the card and windows 2000. Turns out that I had the latest already, but in looking through the driver list, I found a Beta (read unsupported) version of WINCE_30 drivers. I downloaded it and low an behold there was a driver for the Jornada 720 in there. Installed the driver, stuck in the card, set it up and off I went! 128bit WEP and all! $40! The cheapest I have seen a supported card for the Jornada is a Linksys at $149. If you have a Wireless setup and wanna add in the Jornada, this is a really cheap way to do it. |
