boot disk?

how do I set a different HD as the boot disk? I trued the system recovery console but it didn't do anthing. Changed the bios to bood from HD-1 and nothing. I cannot find the boot.ini file either I'm using WinXp Pro.

Changing the bios is the way to do it. Do you have an OS on HD-1? are you sure HD-1 is the right one? Try disconnecting your XP drive and see if it boots alright. (Or try setting 2nd boot device to none, 3rd to none, and "Try other boot devices" to no.)

My hunch is that for some reason it isn't seeing the other OS and then moves on to your XP drive.

do you have multiple hd's? is the boot hd set to the "master" setting? try removing all other drives, use only the hd and set the bios.

well, I really cannot reinstall my second OS because...it's the same OS that was on the other drive to begin with ;-\

Why don't you try to Ghost the OS from the first drive to your second drive???
