Windows CE handhelds
What is the best windows CE handheld with color LCD? Also, I am new to these devices, can you upgrade the OS like you can with a computer or is the OS on a ROM chip and can't be modified? Thanks

I have a COMPAQ Aero 2110 which has a color screen. It came with Windows CE and 8 MB RAM. You can get a ROM upgrade and 24 MB RAM which also has Pocket PC. I did the upgrade and am quite happy.

Yup, I would concur that the iPaq line is the best - the 3900 series has a killer screen & a 400MHz processor, but it ain't cheap!

I can't imagine why speed would be that big of a deal in PDA's. You can save a lot of money by buying the Aero 2100 series used on EBay for a little over $100.

It's a geek thing - the Quake client ported to CE runs like molassas in January on the paltry 206MHz!
