Creative Muvo: mp3 player
http://www.nomadworld.com/products/muvo/
I saw this in an ad in Populat Science. It looks like one of those thumb hard drives that connect to you USB port but you add this battery attatchement to it and it's an instant mp3 player. You can also just use it as a mini hard drive also. All the buttons are on it. It's lite on LCD or expandability but it's small and it works. This would so kick ass if it had more storage but it be a total hassle to go through hundreds of songs one by one. As it is 64 or 128 Meg is not too much to scroll through. Another gadget to add to the Christmas list ![]()

It's 180 I think for the 128 Meg version and 140 for 64 meg version. The iPod is better price per meg wise. From the look of the Muvo it looks like a Zippo lighter.

same here, my 64 meg player just doesn't cut it. I also like the rio riot, very difficult to choose between the two but i think the ipod is the better choice.

i really dont need to post my opinion since most people know it, but i say iPod. The muvo is nice because its small, but the iPod is only slightly larger and offers much much more room. 300. 00 gets you 5 GB. or for 180.00 you get much much less room.
teh muvo is also crippled by USB, which is much much slower than firewire. I didnt see anything about usb 2 on the page, so i am assuming it only uses usb 1.1

128 MB right now. say you want a 512 MB thumb drive down the road. The time required to transfer 512 MB over USB is ages compared to firewire. |

by the time they release 512 i'm sure it'll be firewire, but this is only 128. Plus, few computers (PC's) have firewire. i'm just sad that ipods are so expensive (just like every other freakin' apple product). 500 bucks for a 20 gig mp3 player is a little much considering their competitors are around half the price. |
