Which phone? Nokia 8265 or Motorola 120t?
So my company is getting new cell phones, and we get the choice of the Nokia 8265 or the Motorola 120t.
Any recommendations either way?? Thanks! |

the 8265 is the 8260's replacement. I thought the 8260 was great due to its size and weight, but the 8265 made that even better. It is almost weightless. I would totally go with the nokia.
check out www.howardforums.com and http://www.howardchui.com/ they will have some reviews and individual feedback there. They seem to be the best review site on th enet for cell phones as a side note, when using chimera as my web browser on my mac (mozilla variant), I get redirected to http://www.howardchui.com/evilbrowser/ i got a kick out of it

The old 82xx series Nokia (8290 & 8260) has lots of problems. I used both with Cingular and AT&T. The reception is weak but I don't know how the new 8265 does.

are you in the detroit region? I use mine primarily in the detroit area and Eastern lower michigan (entire east side of state), and Grand Rapids area. I have had very few problems, and any receptin problems I have had were due to tower coverage and the signal was the same if not greater than that of my GF's 5165 or my old 6160 or panasonic versio phones

Yeah, SE MI (Detroit area). I had the 8260 for a while & I liked it - it's nice & small and the battery life is great, so my first inclination was the 8265. However, once I took a closer look at the Motorola, I saw it had an even better battery life (12 days standby time!!) plus web capability, and it's only about 1/2" bigger than the Nokia, so now I'm torn.
Thanks for the review links - I'll go check them out & see what everyone has to say. |
