Artec burner???

I found the Artec 48x12x48x Internal EIDE CDRW W/Nero 5.5 Software
for $70. Is this a good deal since it comes with Nero 5.5? Has anybody had or heard anything about Artec burners? Thanks

If you can wait until the next Dell Home 20% off peripherals sale, you'll be able to pick up a lite-on 40x12x48 drive (comes with nero) for $41.76 shipped. There is barely any difference in the time it takes to burn a full cd at 40x and 48x.

Do all Lite-on burners come with Nero 5.5? That's why I was thinking about the Artec burner because it comes with Nere 5.5. I wasn't sure if the Lite-on did because it didn't say on Newegg.com?
thanks

yes, Lite on's all come with Nero. You can tell if it is a lite on drive if it uses Smart BURN or Smart Link.

that pretty much is the only difference. Depends on the brand of course, and how badly you need 24x CDRW burning.
