Sup everyone,
I bought myself a Soyo KT333 Dragon Lite mobo combo at Fry's about a week ago...and today 9/30 there's another combo for the same price...an Albatron KX400+ ..... which mobo is better for an all around system...? TIA

Both should serve you well. If you're not one of those fanatics that would already know what the difference, don't worry then, get whats cheaper. I know I'm gonna get reamed for this attitude, but the fact is as good as it is to have the best mobos, how many would actually utilize all of the features and what not. There's no real point unless you just MUST have all of that control. I'm happy with just a motherboard thats reliable and works when I need it to. I don't expect much more or else I get SERIOUSLY dissapointed.
I mean sure there are "high quality" mother boards but honestly HOW much difference in performance do they provide over an average or even a low end mobo? You're looking at something like 2 fps in quake or something ridiculously stupid like that. Just framerates and few milliseconds of time trials and benchmarking bs here and there. Just give me a motherboard with a reliable chipset and I'll be a happy camper. I'll let that fanoy enthusiast brag about his quake frame rates all he wants. I just got the combo from Fry's (not for me) and the motherboard works pretty well. This particular system doesn't have fast memory (budget) so I can't really O/C it. There is something called "DDR:CPU ratio" and it has 2.0x or 2.5x. So if you have your FSB @ 133Mhz (with a DDR333 Mhz) and turn the ratio to 2.5x, you are running your RAM @ DDR333. I haven't tried that yet since the RAM doesn't let me.
