HDTV as monitor?

Hey guys I was at Best Buy the other day and saw a 30" widescreen HDTV for $1000. Here are the specs:

How do you think it would do as a monitor??

It's too low res for intensive use. You'll be able to resolve about 1024x768 at most. Even 1152x864 will be a bit fuzzy, too fuzzy for text at least. Also, there's the worry about burn in.
