got screwed by Volcano 9 (maybe not)
I bought a Volcano 9 today and installed it. I only bought it because I wanted to use the thermo probe to run the fan. But they cover so much of the thermo probe with rubber it wont fit under the cpu. I tried to cut some of the rubber off but no go, I cut one of the leads to the probe. Oh well, I like the idea of the manual switch also. I was afraid of bending the probe under the cpu but maybe thats the only way to do it. Oh well, its quieter that my Dragon Orb 3 and it still cools pretty good. Even at full speed the Volcano 9 is a little quieter than the Dragon.

If you're willing to spend the money, buy a good quality thermocouple from an engineering testing site (it should be a 36 gauge type T Thermocouple) and just remove the original one and solder on the new one.
