PIII 500mhz oc ?
I have a PIII 500 Mhz processoer in my Pc is it oc able? if so how do i do it and how much of a preformance boost should i expect.

You probably won't be able to get much of an OC out of that processor at all.
P3-500's were quite tricky to overclock, because you were dealing with not only the older architechture (0.25-micron, vs. 0.18-micron interconnects found on the Coppermine chips), but also the seperate L2 cache modules running at 1/2 the speed of the CPU. I was lucky to overclock to around 540MHz on my P3-500, and many people I know had similar situations. |

dammit dood i know exactly what u were saying and i know exactly what this thread is about, i mean jeebus, common, im not stupid. and im not trying to accomplish anything by my statement, i think you should stop putting so much emphasis on little things. so i qouted a quote that didnt pertain to my statement, i was simply acknowledging how much it sucked that he couldnt OC his p3 to what he was probably hoping and at the fact that hed have to upgrade his proc to get faster speeds.
i think ur too full of urself sometimes  |
