need to "acquire" this part....
ok, i still havent been able to add front mic/speaker connectors to the front of my case yet (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showth...threadid=49533 (On Board Sound Question) ), but i finally found something that would solve the dillemma
if i can get it without the bracket and the spdif, then I'm all set. The above pic is yanked off the Gigabyte website, but I have no idea how I can order just the expansion bracket. Help is of course appreciated, tia -daUnit Last edited by DaFunkyUnit : 11-15-2002 at 01:42 PM. |

why dont you get some wire or get a CDrom audio cable cut the end that does not go to the sound card off and go to radio shack and get the outle and conect it to the wire and install it in your case

How does the optical connection work on that? That little bracket looks like it only would work for thier own onboard sound.

i have a Gigabyte mobo, which has pin headers for additional sound connectors.
my case already has front holes for sound connectors. ![]() i just need to mount the connector inside the front bezel, and connect that to the mobo. Its the act of getting the connector part that is the problem. Does anyone work for Gigabyte? Or does anyone own a PC Hardware store? Can someone spare me that part? ![]() |

you can also try contacting the case manufacturer (or its distributor). If the case has these openings built in, they often have the panels I/O panels as well.
