cost efficient burner

I'm looking for a cd-rw in the $50 dollar price range.
What are people's opinion on Lite-On's 52X24X52X Internal EIDE/ATAPI CD-RW Drive.

That's also what I would get. Good, fast, and cheap.

I don't think this'll stop anything though - the better you idiot-proof a system, the more impressive the idiot becomes.

My lite on was DOA, but other people seem to have good experiences with them.

i have a lacie firewire 52x24x52 burner. it uses the liteon deive as well. Very nice drive. i wish 52x media was available for it. i have yet to find any.

I did buy some verbatium cd's that are designed to look like 45's. they even have the groves formed in them. i dont know the speed rating of them though. i have yet to try them out. they use the Azo technology from verbat.
