my radeon 9700 pro isn't being spectacular
I was getting around 50-60 fps in UT2k3 at 1024x768 32bit high everything with the highest anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering. Wanting to see frame rates over 100, i turned down the anti-aliasing and anisotropic and played again, but it didn't go up...
I changed my monitor refresh rates up to 75mhz and the game would not go over 80 fps. On the options panel for opengl and direct3d, I have vsync in the "always off" mode... Anyone know what might be the problem? |

I've had very similar problems with my 9500 Pro. In Warcraft III, it will perform the same way my last GF2 GTS 64mb did... not very smooth. I can't remember how it got fixed, but since my reformat, it's back to being sloppy. Maybe it has something to do with this R300 chip and the way our systems are set up? Mysteries abound!

Fixed, all I had to do was install the Via 4 in 1 drivers for my motherboard.
12304 on 3dmark running in 1024x768 32 bit AA AF off. 6102 @ 1280x1024 32 bit w/ 6X AA and 16X AF Not as high as I thought it would go but I'm happy. |
