Question Fine tuning monitor

anyone know of a utility that can help me fine tune my monitor. images are just fine but most video that i watch, expecially from my tv tuner are extremely saturated and i just cant seem to get it right. i figure with my tv tuner i can get a HT setup dvd but i would like to fine tune the monitor first and then do the tv.
thanks, tommy

What kind of video card do you have? when I TV-OUT the image is a bit green, I think its my cables, but all I have to do is adjust the hue in nVidia's Property manager and everything looks great

I like to use "powerstrip", I think they have it available to download at www.entechtaiwan.com ..... you can overclock your video card, set up custom resolutions and fine tune your color/brightness/gamma/contrast and whatnot.

radeon all in wonder (the original one). while i dont really do too much tv out it has a good image, i watch tv on my computer. fine tuning the tv image should be simple enough, but i have to get the monitor perfect first. my monitor cables should be just fine. i have a sony e540, less than a year old, bought it new not refurb. specs

im not really looking for that. i already use powerstrip, but all the color/brightness/gamma/contrast settings can be done from windows display properties as well. i need something that will give me images to compare so that i can configure it properly. i guess i dont even need a prog to do it, i just need pics to guide me, my eyes arent that good

Found one. DisplayMate for Windows Video Edition gives a pretty wide variety of tests. i feel pretty satisfied that most of my screen has been calibrated as precisely as i can with my eyes. now i just need to get a dvd claibrater for the video in
