What is the BEST HSF for AMD XP2000
Right now I'm using a volcano 9 and my temps are running at around 40.. peaking around 45.. I have upped my FSP a little (I think i'm running at 138 or something..) nothing to brag about.. but I don't like seeing anything over 45.. I don't care about noise.. I just want to OC the hell out of my machine without going water cooling..
So if anyone can give me some tips on what are the best Heat Sinks and fans to use to cool this puppy down, I'd be very appreciative. Thanks. |

How much do you wanna spend?
Thermalright SK-7 and SLK-800: http://www.heatsinkstore.com/thersk7socco.html http://www.heatsinkstore.com/therslsoc462.html *Alpha PAL8045: http://www.heatsinkstore.com/alpalheaton.html Swiftech MCX462+, ?????? All good heatsinks. Just as important is the fan. How much noise can you put up with? YS-Tech, Vantec and panflow have some nice near silent fans. At the other end is the Vantec Tornado and the mighty screaming Deltas. 80 or 60 mm? I don't run amd but I like the swiftech and would go with the alpha on what limited knowledge I have. The SLK 800 was very popular and also gave good temps. Good luck, -jel ![]() |

The SLK-800 is on sale for $29. Buy it!
You can get the variables YS Tech fan for $9. Good performance and you make it quiet. Or buy a tornado and really let people know your an overclocker! -jel ![]() |
