Yep... the one Maximum PC reviewed had:

P4 3.06
2x120GB SATA RAID
Plextor 48X burner
Sony DRU500 DVD -RW+RW
30" LCD Flat panel
Klipsch Promedia GMX D-5.1
Geforce FX Beta

I am going to call Alienware tomorrow and beg and plead with them to let me even see one of their new systems. They are based down here in Miami. Perhaps I will apply there after I graduate this summer, they may need finance people.

the case looks pretty tight to me, i just would never want that thing on my desk. i also dont see how they "reinvented the pc" just because they put out a modded case.

i do like the rear grille, it might help with cable management. maybe.

i like what they wrote about the 30" screen...basically, it is crap, but looks cool...it isnt even comparable to an standard 18" LCD. The whole set up, NOT WORTH IT!

youre right. i should have said, they put out a freakish alien head case with top of the line components. nothing reinvented here except the case fascia

Alienware makes laptops? What could they possibly do to it to make it outperform the competition? I must have a look at this. Does ocing kill the battery life etc?

They don't overclock their processors you goof.

But a laptop with a 3.06GHZ P4 and a Radeon 9000 makes a pretty decent lan machine.

I read the one in Maximum PC.

I like the case - at least it fits the name more than the other cases they've had.

Now I want one bad!

It's good to see companies that offer cases that have moddin' for the person that don't know how! (Like me)
