so, I have a pioneer dvd drive (dvd-106s) and the iomega cd-rw (zipcd3840int)

I had the cd-rw first and that worked fine.

then i got the pioneer dvd drive, and put them both on the second ide channel.
the dvd drive didn't work.

so, then, I took out the cd-rw and just the dvd-drive. the dvd drive worked fine
i put them back together (switching the master/slave) and same exact problem, cd-rw works fine....dvd doesn't....

the dvd drive will recognize, but when i put a dvd or audio cd: it'll skip/be all choppy. so, file transfers suck too.....

anyways...anyone have any ideas?

oh, and i guess i can avoid it all by just putting one as a slave master, except i got 2 hard drives, and the ide cables don't stretch and contort right to allow a hard drive down low and a cd drive up high.
