Video card problems
I have the 64 mb video card with tv-out and it works for awhile on my tv then it goes black and white and it is really annoying. Has anyone ever had this problem or know how to fix it?
Thanks |

I take care of a few V-tel VC systems and when ever this happens to me it is usualy a bad S-video cable of if it is not shielded well and you set another electronic decice near it then this soemtiems happesns as well. i suggest you move all electronc devices far far away from your s-video cable including Floresent lights and pake sure the cable is pluged in well like the above poster notes and if that dont work try a new decent wuality S-vid cable

Ok thanks for the replies I disconnected my s video cable and reconnected it to my old computer with a 32mb tv out card and it works just fine. There is color and I run tvtool and it will do a dual view with color so I don't think it is the cable. Do you guys have any other ideas? Do you think my new video card that came with my dell is just messed up?

Thanks a lot guys especially you GilbertsGrape with such fast replies. I think I solved my problem with your help.I am a little reluctant to say but under the device setting in display modes it gives an option for auto-select the type of output and I changed that to s-video out and as of now I seem to have color so I guess it's auto selection wasn't so good.
Thanks again guys! |
