5.1 decoding
ok, so i'm hoping to get the klipsch GMX 5.1 speakers. it comes with dolby digital 5.1/DTS decoding. if i get something like the soundblaster extigy that doesn't decode 5.1 through it's optical output, but i use a toslink to optically link the extigy to the klispch decoder, will i get digital 5.1 decoding? thanks!

Ummmm... I would tell you, but I'm running onboard sound on the non powered "Made in Karachi" 2.0 speakers that I got as a door prize at a computer show...
But I think you're right! HA! LOL... Sorry, I see big words and the brain gets foggy while the fingers happily type away!

On my friends SB Live 5.1, it doesn't transmit the 5.1 signal through the optical, only through the digital coax. I don't know if Creative has changed this on the Extigy or Audigy.
