Laptop RAM

So I'm using my laptop (the HP ze4315 posted in the deals forum cause it was cheap) and I am looking for more RAM for it. It currently has 256 and I wanted to upgrade.

I looked at crucial, (512 for 135 and 256 for about 40) I want to keep it low budget cause I want to spend about 5 or 6 bills on a new desktop in a year or so for gaming. I'm currently using the laptop for word processing and web in class and sometimes some simulations and photo editin.

I saw Kingmax memory at newegg.com for about 80 for 512 and 35 for 256. I wanted to know your opinion of which 512 or 256 stick I should go with.
