Unless you know the price range and what you expect your computer to do, the best answer any of us here can give you is Dell.

Thanks for the links, Cubsfan and Ladoaboy, but I really need help in buying all of the parts listed above. I am willing to spend a lot of money. Please help me out and link me to the advertisements.
Thank-you

send me 3 thousand dollars, and I'll build you a high quality computer. and if you want to learn, I'll even video tape myself building it

You may want to be more specific. I'm not trying to be mean at all here, but do you know very much about building your own computer? It's just that most of the requests for help here have more specifics (i.e. I want a P4 and a motherboard with onboard lan and a 120 Gig 7200 RPM Hard drive with 8 Megs of cache). Also, what is your motivation for wanting the computer? General surfing and emailing? High-end gaming? Video editing? No use spending $3000 on a computer just to email.

Also, why do you want to build your own?

I don't care what kind of computer it is, just as long it is compatible (all the parts can function with one another). This may sound stipud, but I am willing to spend as much money it takes to build my own computer. Please help me in doing this by linking me to the advertisemensts that is in the"LIST OF REQUIRED COMPONENTS" above.

Thank-you

Well, I could use a little day-dreaming at this moment, so I'll tell you what I'd build if money were no option.

Intel Pentium 4 3.2GHz: $730.00
ASUS P4P800 DELUXE: $141.99
(2)Western Digital Raptor 36GB SATA: $138.00x2
(2)Western Digital 160GB Special Edition: $170.00x2
(3)Corsair Memory 512MB 3700PT: $168.00x3 ASUS
ATI All-In-Wonder RADEON 9700 PRO: $365.00
Lian-Li PC-7B USB, 12-Bay: $99.00
Antec 550W Power Supply: $118.99
Logitech Cordless Elite Duo: $71.50
Sony 1.44MB 3.5: $10.00
Lite-On XJ-HD166/XJ-HD 165H 16X DVD ROM Drive: $32.99
Dell UltraSharp 2000FP 20-inch Flat Panel LCD: $934.15

Okay, your total should be $7247.24 after you buy double and send me the other half.

Of course, this is just what I would build if money were no option, so if you don't like it, don't blame me.

Ummm, so you were too lazy and too stupid to finish your own homework, so you just had us do it for you? Or am I missing something?

lilbigblue,

Whoa, my bad, if I didn't tell anyone up front. But I thought it wasn't necessary. When someone post a thread or reply, should they indicate why they asked that specific question?

It's like saying if you were applying for a job, do you have to disclose if you are gay or not?

Think about it, bro!

It would have been better if you were upfront about it. Give the people a chance to help you first.

yo, disclosing if you're gay or not is like disclosing if you're asian or not. It's completly optional. Although if you decide to tell people then you face the consequeces of doing do. Telling someone your gay or asian will gets you strange looks a rude remarks.

You offered the information after you gathered it. Like being gay or asian and are in a locker room with your friend. After you leave you tell your friend you're gay/asian he'll feel quite disturbed. Just like in your case, you got your homework answer and then told people that was what it was for. Some people have a problem with that because they don't like to do other people's homework (may have to do with ethics... or was that ethnicity? Bah, it's the damn dirty asians fault).

I think you're the one who should think about it EarlyEditionDude. It would be more like if you were applying for a job and you had to disclose if you have shoplifted or stole before. We're good people here at the Got|Apex forums as you can see from the plethora of respones you received from your thread and the well though out replies and research done to assist you in your fantasy computer build. If you would have told us that you needed to do this for an assignment I'm sure you still would have gotten the help you needed and it would have spared some of the repliers the need to ask you multiple times about price, platform, use of the computer, etc.
B.T.W welcome to the G|A forums.
