ISP address
Could someone tell me where to go to check an address that has been hitting my Norton Internet Security Firewall? I was just curious to see what was trying to get into my computer. TIA.

IP address? well, if you use windows, open a Dos prompt, and type "nslookup IP_ADDRESS". It doesnt give you too much useful info, IP addresses are relatively anonymous, unless someone has done something really illegal and they need to be traced.
If you run linux, use the "host" command. If you want some more stuff to look at, use "tracert" to trace the route from you to them. hth |

once you get the IP address you can head over to
http://www.demon.net/external/ and enter it and they will give you a decent amount of information about where the connection is coming from.

Internet address
The only thing I got from Norton Internet Firewall Security is this address: 206.204.10.200 and I am trying to find out if it has come from a Govt. site.

address definition
Hmmm... So why would Symantec block it's own attempt to access my computer? Thank you for all your help.
