Hard drive question
Would it be best to get a couple big hdd's, like the 120gb or 200gb...or should I get a few of the smaller hdd like the 40gb and 60gb, so just in case one of the hdd crashed I wouldnt be at a total loss?
What are your opinions on this?

DF doesn't give bad advice about drives. He's a big drive shopper. Espically his hard drives. He doesn't have drives under 120 GB or something. I read it on the other threads so you can trust him.

Get the bigger hard driver because it's cheaper per GB. It's also faster because most big drives are 8MB buffer.

Ide slots
Also, if you are like me and used to collect 20 gb hard drives when they came on sale for 15 dollars, then you have a pile of hard drives that are full, but you can only use four at a time.... kind of a problem.. you run out of slots... but if you buy a 120 gb, and if fills up, then you get another one... and you have a slot to put it in.
and if you worry about the hard drive going bad, well that is a possibility with all drives. Fewer drives, fewer chances of going bad. Just burn the important stuff on to cd. I just rebuilt my machine and it blew out my 60 gb drive with my music so i am recreating the drive and then i am going to burn all the music onto cds. 75 cds is a lot, but i will toss them in a binder, and if the hard drive ever dies... well it was worth the investment and storage.and about Dark Fury, well, he is the benevolent knowledge god, and one witty man. he is just trying to keep a watchful eye on the peasants, no big thing.. he dont mean no harm....
