"Get your PC4200 Memory Now!"

from xbitlabs.com
http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/memory/...006101752.html

Holy wow, this will have a pretty price tag.

"OCZ Technology, a leading innovator in performance memory modules technology, today announced its 533MHz DDR SDRAM devices branded PC4200 Premier Series DDR. The speed grade achieved by OCZ using conventional DDR DRAMs is reserved for DDR-II devices only, though, OCZ is not the first to achieve this milestone.

OCZ PC4200 Premier Series DDR memory will be available in 256MB and 512MB modules as well as 512MB and 1GB Dual Channel kits. OCZ PC4200 Premier Series modules include a black aluminum heats-spreader and are rated for CL 3-4-4-8 operation at 2.8 volts.

The first company to unveil 533MHz DDR SDRAM memory was GeIL, back on the 5th of August, as we revealed. Nevertheless, OCZ’s achievement is also very important from a lot of points of view. Firstly, both memory companies prove that they are able to achieve the speeds of next-generation memory using current chips. Secondly, they make the 533MHz memory available out now, not in the Q2 2004. Finally, both OCZ and GeIL proved lifetime warranty and a big relief for overclockers.

OCZ PC-4200 Premier Series Dual Channel memory has been designed and fully optimized for use on Intel i865PE/i875P chipset-based systems, OCZ claims. Think twice before using them on other platforms; as we revealed in our recent Corsair TwinX1024-4000PRO DDR500 Memory Review, memory modules should be chose carefully depending on the platform."
