best cooling fans?

i'm planning on getting a barton 2600+ and i'm pretty sure it will run hot, i want to hook up this baby with some fans, what should i look for in terms of speed and what's a good rating i should look for in terms of sound? i had a few 80mm and they were roaring...

if i get this case how should i hook up the fans? in terms of direction and placement?

thanx.

My $.02:

The best fans, IMHO are Vantec stealth fans and Panaflo L1's. They pump a lot of air at very low volume. I tried a TMD (tip-magnetic-driven) fan once, and was less than impressed-it didn't sound all that much quieter.

As far as fan placement-pump in low, pump out high, since hot air rises and you want to avoid creating eddy currents where the air goes nowhere. I have also found that the fans tend to sound less noisy when you match cfm-air-in and cfm-air-out.

Untailed means that they don't have any power connectors on the end (only bare wires).

Those are great fans (I own two), but get them tailed, unless you're handy with a soldering iron.

Poor air circulation. Even if air is being drawn through the CPU's heatsink, w/o case circulation, the hot air's not taken away from the CPU, but is recycled through the heatsink again, making the cpu cooling far less effective. Also, hot air pockets inside the case can kill hard drives, DVD drives, and CDRWs.
