i ordered the 1.6GHz G5 this afternoon. I had a buddy that works for apple order it for me. It saved me 20%. Downside was it wasnt customizable, but thats not too big of a deal.
Now I just need a deal on a gig of ram.

Very nice ribitch. Hopefully in the next month or two I will be getting a dual g5 at work to play with. I can't wait!
 By the way do you know if the X.3 server software is out yet?

x.3 server is a simultaneus release with x.3 workstation
10/24/03 at 8:00 pm rumors have it new xserves will be released at the same time. This time they are supposed to be equipped with the G5. |

I can usually go to the UCSD bookstore for the Apple products that I need, but they don't usually have all the items out for people to play with. There is a guy here in the dorm that just got duel G5's running a 9800 pro! I took a looksey at it, and it looked pretty pimp. Except, now he'll have to find some games that'll run on it!

Would be nice if it was one of those flagship stores like the one up in LA at the grove. I did hear though that they hired a lighting crew to get a huge X spotlight for shining up in the sky a la batman. . . could be interesting. |
