Dell Inspiron 5150 Memory Upgrade

Hi ya'll, just wanted to ask a few questions about my new Dell. Just purchased a new 5150, and it is pretty friggin awesome, but to keep costs down I decided to only stack on the minimal amount of ram and upgrade the memory later. I know that the RAM that the 5150 uses is PC2700, non-parity, 333 MHZ, 200 pin SODIMM memory. If I get OEM memory that matches all of these characteristics and install it in the Dell, will it work? If not, are there any other factors other than the ones I listed above that could determine compatability of OEM ram with my new Dell system. I need to have anywhere b/w 768 MB to 1.25 GB of ram in my laptop (CAD and graphics work) so I figured by buying it later on, I would save about $3-400 bucks or so over the Dell memory pricing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again
