So I bought a DVD-RW.......
So I bought a NEC 1300A 4xDVD+-RW combo drive. I also bought a 25 pk of DVD-R. I played with it for over 2 days to find out that it was the media that didnt work. Any idea why they wouldnt work. I bought
BMI 25-Pack 4x DVD-R In Spindle from tigerdirect.com. Anyone get these to work? So it worked with some other DVD media. Noname brand and apple. |

^^ Make sure you have the latest firmware. Although I tried two of those 1300 and had a hell of a time getting them to play nice with my lite-on CD-RW attached to the same IDE channel. Ended up returning them for a different drive.

Don't buy cheap media. Media, especially with DVD burners, is VERY important. Also, firmware updates can allow for more media usage.
