Firewire 2 drive- possible to daisy chain with Firewire 1 drive?

One of the docs here got a Lacie 200 gb firewire 2 drive and he wants to daisy chain it with the firewire 1 drive that he has. I got a message from him saying that the cable doesn't fit or that the size is different from a firewire 1 drive. Is this true? I was under the impression that it was the same size as a firewire 1 drive. Is this guy just an idiot? If so, shouldn't he be able to daisy chain the 2 drives?

TIA!

You need a bilingual cable. There is some good info towards the bottom of the page on this topic
