Question Best 2.1 Speakers for under $150?

I have to buy a client's kid a new set of speakers for his laptop. What's the best 2.1 (Stereo with subwoofer) speakers out there in this price range?

Any specific models? I looked at the Klipsch on Amazon and there seem to be two nice sets in this price range but the reviews seem to be conflicting.

My cousin just got the Creative I-Trique 3300 and that sounds very nice but lacked in the mid. Now there is the 3500 model and they boosted the size of the speaker. I haven't heard them, but it looks like it can handle the mids better.
A nice feature of the 3300 hundred is the remote pod. It handles the master vol, bass vol and has a headphone jack. The 3500 should have a similar remote.
