Your sound card should have a 1/8" stereo jack, right? If the headphones come with a 1/8" plug, and your stereo has a 1/4" jack, you can buy an inline adapter for a few bucks at Radio Shack or even Wal-Mart. Vice versa for headphones with a 1/4" plug. Many times, headphones come with these adapters, so you might not even need to worry about it.

That's what I was thinking. A good pair of RF (radio frequency) wireless headphones goes for only about $80.
