Digital Camera purchase help

Hey, I'm lookin to purchase a small compact digital camera and I pretty much narrowed it down to 2 models:

Casio Exilim Z4
Pentax Optio S4

Does anyone have any opinion on which one is better. Both use the same Pentax Lens. A benefit of the Pentax is that it fits in an altoids can so i can buy a cheap case for it ;]. The casio has a bigger LCD (2inch) compared to the pentax (1.6 inch). The U.S. Casio Z4 does not have a movie mode but the worldwide version does. Both cameras are about 350-400 dollars. Thanks for any replies

ps- i was thinking bout the sony dsc-t1 (5 megapixel, ultracompcat), but its price is about 500-600 dollars which is too much for me right now

I have 2 friends with these cameras, one of each. The Casio DOES have a bigger LCD, but it will not fit in an Altoids tin. I know if may seem cheap, but an Altoids container is pretty much the best way to safely store the camera. I got a leather case that came with my Pentax Optio (i had the regular S version), and even that was bulky.

i also heard the navigation menu on the pentax is not-user friendly...i haven't read anything about a comparison review between the cameras. If anyone knows of a link, I would really appreciate it.

I have the pentax optio s4. It fits in the altoids can but just barely. Someone recommended putting a rubber band around it when you put it in the tin. Yeah the navigation arrors are tricky. Half the time when you push left you will actually hit select or enter instead. That just takes getting used to or using your other free hand.

The update is the pentax optio s4i. I forget what the improvement was. I think it supports pictbridge or something. Not sure. Oh wait it has a bigger screen...1.8" which is almost as big as the Casio one.

The sony is schweet...but the 500-600 price tag is a bit much. But it is 5megapixel if I recall.

What kind of case would you put a S400 in? The price is right on that one, but I need a case I can slip in my pocket that won't add more than much width.

by pocket, if you mean big side leg pocket on your cargo pants, then yes it'll fit. or just wear a fanny pack
