i jumped in on the planar 17" LCD deal from dell. have been happy with it, but for the second time, i noticed something about this monitor.

when i resume from standby (monitor goes to standby after so many minutes of screen saver), i have gotten a screen that LOOKS like it's in like 16color mode or something like that. and pinstripes.

i thought it might have been my vid card which i got from a warranty RMA (maybe they gave a refurbed), but my second monitor was fine. i turned off the planar then back on, and all is fine.

even though it's fine, i don't think it should happen at all. i could be wrong though. i'm using the digital connection (DVI?).

anyone have this problem before?? thanks
