cpu temp
My computer kept restarting and my cpu temperature was getting really high and my heatsink fan was making a weird noise. I bought a new heatsink and cpu fan but my temp is still at 60 degrees celsius even when im not running anything. Will case fans make a big difference in that? My system temperature is at 51 degrees celsius too. What is normal and what should i do. I even put thermal paste on the CPU and heatsink.

Is the room hot? Try taking off your side panel and see if that helps. What kind of heatsink/fan did you get? How many fans do you have on your case now?

Change or clean fan on cpu first. Check the cooler to see if stuff is blocking airflow. You might want to pull it all off, clean it, clean off the gunk and reinstall it with some Arctic silver. After cleaning and a new fan it drop temps back to normal.
