DVD+R vs. DVD-R
OK I know this topic has been brought up before, but has anything changed in the past few months to make DVD+R's more compatable than DVD-R's? I always thought that DVD-R's were more compatable, but I went to 3 different stores (Magnolia HI-FI, CompUSA, and Best buy) and all the salespeople said that DVD+R's were more compatable than DVD-R's. Could it be that they were misinformed, or has something actually changed in the the past few months so that DVD+R is becoming a more accepted format?

They were misinformed...
Salespeople tend to "inform" you about the options that will put more money into their pockets... +R costs more than -R, therefore maybe that was their motivation. For now, -R is still more compatible than +R... http://www.videohelp.com/dvd still confirms this.
