LCD Flickering

I was just thinking why my screen keeps flickering...its Goes from normal color to this purple color then flickers back...anyone know whats wrong?

loose connection? bad pin on the vga cable? Or, worst case, short in the LCD.

They usually have a 3 year warranty, if that's the case.

I had this too. Mine went from normal to purple and then after a while it just became 100% purple. I bought a new VGA cable and it works fine now.

However, I also had another LCD who flickered to black and that one had to be replaced (the actual monitor, not just the cord).


I'd try the cord first

I'm going with cord as well. But mine was from a series of loose cords. Power cord and VGA cable. I felt like throwing the computer when the support file said,
"Is everything plugged in correctly?"
"Of course it is!"

And then, of course, it wasn't.

Thats for a reply everyone...After I changed VGA cables it worked fine.
