Would you buy from LiveWarehouse?

I am looking for a DVD burner for my mac and the deal at LiveWherehouse (Sony DW-U18A) seems to be pretty good. I searched the forum and there are some negative reviews. As the title suggests, would you buy from them?

I did and am sorry for it.

They are one of the hardest outfits to deal with. Horrible return and RMA policies, no phone number anywhere on their site, poor customer service. Need I go on?

As with any seller, if you have no problem with the product you're OK but if you DO have a problem, write it off. It's a crap shoot.

There are much more reputable vendors out there.

I have to aggree. Avoid them and go with Newegg.com

I bought a DVD burner from them to save about $15 and it didn't work out of the box. I had to MAKE it work. They don't post their phone number, requiring you to email them for customer service and my email didn't even get answered. Also, their posted policy on DOA products is to deal with the manufacturer, not return. And, on returns, they require that YOU PAY FOR SHIPPING. I hate that.

To top it off, they don't take American Express.

I'm sorry to hear of all the problems you've experienced with them. As with all our deals, if you ever have a problem with any one of them, please let us know. I will personally try to get them resolved as soon as possible. Also, any feedback (good or bad) would be very helpful to us.

Thanks for the input. Decided to go with newegg.com. Price is similar but the service seems to be better.

bought some stuff from there before, didn't have problems with the product so got lucky. But they do have a "sketchy" customer service policy.

So I got my drive yesterday! Unbelievable! I order it on Tuesday and it is in my hands 24 hours later. I installed it last night and it works perfectly. Thanks for the recommendations, couldn't be happier!
