Woohoo! Nvidia 6800 GT in the house!

Installed, and benched. This card is a-freaking-mazing.

Doom 3 = 54.7fps @ 1024 and high detail
3dmark2001 = 15575 marks (cpu is holding me back there)
3dmark2003 when I finish downloading it.

I'm going to see how it OC's tonight...

I came out with 9867 3DMarks in 3DM03. I only came out with 47.3 fps in Doom 3 at High Detail 1024x768.

I have the same exact system as you but I only have 512MB ram. Apparently Doom 3 needs it

I overclocked my Gt to 380/1100 and my 3dmark score is up to 10448. I was kinda disapointed in the low overclock after hearing so many people who were able to get to Ultra speeds, but the card is fast as hell at stock so I'm not too dismayed.

Did you use coolbits2 auto OC? That's what I tried when I first got my card and it killed it and I had to RMA it........so I'm a bit scared to try it again.

I used Riva Tuner 2.0 rc 15. I just upped the clocks 5 mhz at a time and did the test to see if they worked. It failed the test at 385 so I clocked back to 380 and it was no problem. I'm not running OC'ed 24/7 though, just for benchmarks.

how do you get fps to show in doom3? my brother just got the game and doesnt know how to get it to show

press ~ + Alt + ctr and it opens the console. Then type "timedemo demo1.demo" without quotes. That will run the benchmark. Run it twice since it needs to cache it the first time.

com_drawfps 1 - should show in game FPS.
timedemo demo1.demo - will run doom3 benchmark

To access the console press ctrl + alt + ~

Nevermind, that command doesn't work to show fps and neither does showfps 1. If anyone knows it let me know.

Do u find this card too bulky?? Literally and power-requirement wise? what size power supply do u have?

I have a 400W PSU, the minimum requirement is 300W. The card is a little long but fits fine in my mid-tower case.

Hmm Riva Tuner shows that my card is defaulted to 350 Mhz Core / 1000 Mhz Memory. That is what a regular 6800GT is supposed to be. The 6800GT OC is supposed to be 370 Mhz / 1000 Mhz. I'm getting pretty mad at the quality of these BFG cards. I set Riva to start up the card at 370 / 1000 like it's supposed to be, hopefully it won't die like my original 6800GT OC.
