Logitech MX900 back and forward buttons work in Firefox!

Kind of both hardware and software, but whatever

I just reformatted my computer and did NOT install the Logitech SetPoint software. Installed Firefox 0.9.3 and guess what, forward and back buttons now work!

I didn't see an update post on this (from Cheesy or anyone else), and maybe it was just 0.9.3 that fixed it, but I thought it would be worth a shot for anyone with this mouse

I have the MX700 and have always been able to use the back/forward buttons with Firefox (since 0.91). I also don't have the Logitech-specific drivers installed.

yeah, it works by default on the MX700 (i have one too), but the BT MX900 seems to have some incompatibilities with the .9 FF.
until now, which is a GOOD thing!

i DO have the logitech drivers installed, but only up to mouseware version 9.75 - the succeeding drivers took out the key designation option (like the F keys). i needed that for a few function keys i customized with some programs.

I guess 10.X was Logitech's downfall
