GeForce fx 5200 compatible with AMD athlon???

Help! I need to find out if GeForce FX 5200 on the deals page is compatible with AMD Athlon 850 ( i know it's OLD, but that's what my gf still has)

Does your gf's pc have an AGP slot? if so then yes it will work

I have a FX 5200 and a AMD athlon xp 2600+ and I dontt have any problem...

You would think...as did I that a video card is a video card is a video card if it's AGP. I found out the hard way that that is not neccessarily the case. My Radeon9800P won't work with that Soyo Dragon2 i875 board because (I'm guessing here) the board doesn't supply enough voltage to the card.

Could be. or you dont have jumpers set right or bios done right. a bunch of things could be wrong. but still should work

Only if the board is AGP 2x will it not work. If it is 4x or 8x it will work no problem.

so this is the spec for graphics on her comp:
Graphics Chipset


8 MB-nVidia Vanta LT-2X AGP, 80/100 MHZ Eng/Mem,128-bit TNT2 3D graphics processor, 1280x1024 resolution, 32-bit color and 250 MHz RAMDAC, 32-bit Z/stencil buffer, DirectX and OpenGL support

Graphics Engine/Data Width : 128-Bit

Graphics Bus: 4X AGP (AGP 1.0/2.0 compliant)

Does this mean that it will be compatible?? Thanks a lot guys!
