random story!!! router problem
This is the stupidest story EVER!!!
so my friend was helping me out with with my wireless router problem I was having. We couldnt figure out how to get to connect to the internet...anywho...to make a long story short...we never got it to work. after fiddling aournd with it for about and hour. I finally got it to connect to the internet. Then I called my friend, and told him to connect to my router and connect also...but needless to say...right when I called him, the signal broke off. then after I hung up...30 seconds later...the signal came up again, then I in turn was very happy, and proceeded to call my friend again to connect via the router...THEN...the friggin router signal decided to crap out again. I hung up the phone is disgust, and then started to play with my router, then a light came on in my head! THE FARKING PHONE WAS MY PROBLEM! my phone is a 2.4 ghz phone which interferes with my router! HOW STUPID WAS THAT!!?!?! the problem was right in my face! I then started to test out my hypothsis, and realized that it was indeed my phone. everytime I could call somebody, the signal would crap out. So it was indeed my phone!!!! I am now very happy that I found the problem to my situation...but and very pissed that my phone would do such a thing!!! Anywho...that would be my story for the day

The phone should not affect your connection unless you are using wireless connection at the time.
If you are using DSL, remember installing the filter to each phone. |

Either move to 802.11a or get a 5.x ghtz phone with multiple hand sets, then get vonage.

Yeah those 2.4Ghz phones can kill your wireless network. I dont know why there is no mention of this in the documentation for the router though. Im sure even if there was no one would read it anyway.

It usually only causes a problem if the phone crosses the path of the wireless signal. It really depends on the phone you have. You can try setting them to different channels to get it to work.

Try changing the channel on the router's wireless interface (if possible).
