Video Card Help
So I am going to buy a Radeon 9600 XT for my machine. (This is new to me I have never replaced a graphics card) I was wondering if brand name matters? I was looking at NewEgg, You can get a 128MB Rosewill for 129, a 128MB Sapphire for 138, or a 256MB Rosewill for 149. Does the brand name matter? I blindly trust sapphire as I have seen them in stores, but It seems like I could get more card for my dollar with Rosewill. Is it the same thing, or are their big differences? Thanks

I honestly don't know that the differences between brands are but I bought the Sapphire 9600XT 256mb and it runs great. Smooth, reliable and the stock cooling isin't bad.

Brand DOES matter. The GPU (cpu of the video card) will be made by ATI and will all be the same. Many of the cards will even have the same layout. Some of the off brands, however, will use cheaper memory. If you are not going to overclock the card, then don't worry about it-get the cheaper off brand. If you plan on overclocking-go Sapphire or ATI
Also...check out Newegg's refurb area. You could save $10-20.
