best dell lcd screen???
my 21 inch crt sucks.
Yes it is large, yes it takes up a 2 foot by 2 foot box on my desk, yes i want to get rid of it and get an lcd. Any recommendations on which one would be best? 17 to 19 inches. I am going to look on ebay for some deals because i dont want to pay retail. thanks ![]() ![]() ![]()

1905FP just recently got very good reviews from Anandtech. So that would be my bet. Dell screens typically go on sales that knock around 25% off of their retail prices on a routine basis, shipped free sans tax, so you might be best off keeping an eye peeled for the Dell deals from the deals page.

I know you said 17" to 19", but the Dell 2001FP 20" really is amazing and you can often find hot deals on it for about $500. I really suggest it.

But my question is... are they good for gaming now?
Especially on the 21" version?

I have a 19" Dell LCD and its great for gaming. I might upgrade to a 20.1" Ultrasharp so I can run at 1600x1200

I've got the 2001FPW, which is 1680x1050. Using the ATI software I can rotate the screen 90 degrees and also use the monitor in portrait mode. It's nice when you're reading web pages or using Word. You can see all of the page at once.
