What's the price on that thing? My iRiver has direct encoding and can handle multiple bitrates. It also does other things, such as play music etc.....

Since cassette tape quality is near the 90dB SNR rate, I feel that 16 bit sampling will do. CDs and DVDs benefit from the 24-bit rate, but I'm not sure if cassettes will benefit from it.

Question How did this work for you?

I am staring at #1-my old cassette collection and #2-songs i've dl'd throughout the years. Many of the songs I have dl'd are also on tapes I used to listen to. I'd like to copy them over to listen to on my computer. How was your experience using this device?
