print settings help for ms word

Hey guys, a little help please?

I made a document, that i'm going to eventually paste/glue onto some 8x5 index cards. so what i did was changed the page properties change the size from 8x11 to 8x5.

when i want to print, to conserve paper, i want to be able to print two pages per sheet of paper. i've tried changing the print settings to print two per page, but it's not coming out right.

here's a sample of the doc...

My suggestion is print out 1 at a time, then turn the paper around and flip it over to print another one on the other end. That way you save paper but don't have to worry about the settings. I do that quite a bit to save paper, by printing out odd pages then flipping em and printing out the even, so it goes 1/2, 3/4, 5/6 etc

when you change it to 8x5 the printer expects 8x5 paper, so youll prolly have to change it back to 8x11 and format it the way you want it. just duplicate the part you want printed on the bottom of the 8x11 page so it has the same thing on the top half and bottom half of the page . print and cut. dont forget to use the print preview.
