xbox through internet on laptop?
I am going on vacation next week and there is wireless internet in our room. I was wondering if there was a way to hook my xbox up to the internet by connecting it to a laptop that has both an ethernet jack and a wireless ethernet card. The laptop top would be getting the internet directly and the xbox conneting to the internet (xbox live) through the laptop.
Any ideas?

Most of the hotels I've been to with wireless also have a device that does exactly this (I foget what it's called. Bridge maybe?) that you can checkout from the front desk.

Don't know about using the laptop to do it. I just know it'd be really easy to do with that checked out from the hotel (at my hotel, it was free)

Yup - you need a bridge, or you MAY be able to do what you're thinking of using ICS - internet connection sharing. Dunno if it'll work for an Xbox, but I don't see why not
