Can become a fusenik By INQUIRER staff: Tuesday 08 November 2005, 20:18 THE US Consumer Product Safety Division said Nikon was voluntary recalling rechargeable battery packs model number EN-EL3. The batteries can short circuit, overheat and possibly melt. About 200,000 batteries have been distributed in the US, and around 710,000 worldwide. The lithium ion battery pack is included as a power source for Nikon digital cameras SLR D100, D70 and D50 cameras, but is also sold separately. The battery packs made in China shouldn't be used, and customers can go to Nikkon USA to see further instructions |
